Disneyland's 30th Anniversary

Time to “celebrate” Disneyland’s 30th anniversary or as the promotion said “Disneyland - 30th year”. Another LONG party, this time 24 hours. For details about this party (and a hotdog wrapper) see last years “30th” (link).

The “year long party” had a promotional tie-in with General Motors. See my previous post “The Most Extravagant Year-long Party in History” (link).

Up now is a real treat (for me at least) a wonderful 1985 Commemorative Calendar. This was my Disneyland...

Presented in order by month, starting with January.

Thanks for that commemorative calendar! Those are some beauties. The Skyway picture just makes me miss it that much more...

Those were the days when GM took over Hughes Aircraft Co. The new "bosses" decided we (Hughes people) all needed a free night at Disneyland. The park was exclusively Hughes employees that night, and it was great fun. Especially when you would keep running into people you knew.
